John Bamboo Sate House

My girl and I visited Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna to check out John Bamboo Sate House, they serve Indonesian cuisine. Very interesting, yes? It is owned and operated by the Red Crab group of companies. You would definitely expect a lot of spices and herbs in their dishes.

I like how they incorporate red and green that doesn’t look christymassy but elegant and oriental ambiance. It also has high that gives this spacious feeling inside the restaurant. The interior has its oriental and native touch that adds it’s Indonesian taste to the place.
Perkedel Kentang – 145 PHP

Perkdel Kentang or Indonesian potato fritter is a fried potato pancake. Its very different from famous french fries, first from its look it doesn’t have any resemblance of it but you would know that it is a potato when you already eat it. It also differ from the way it cooked because they fry the potato that is mashed then mix it with spices and herbs. On the side is a spicy and sweet sauce with Indonesian soy sauce that looks like a chocolate sauce. You would want a separate saucer for the soy sauce because the Perkedel taste better with the soy sauce.

Nasi Goreng Mixed Seafood – 195 PHP

Nasi Goreng Mixed Seafood or spicy Indonesian fired rice with mixed seafood. The dish has a good spicy taste which makes you want to eat more. It has toge, shrimp, and squid then topped with egg. 2 people can share in this dish.

Nur’s Javanese Grilled Chicken Wing – 215 PHP
Nur’s Javanese Grilled Chicken Wings, sure it taste good, really, but it wasn’t different. It is covered with Indonesian soy sauce.

The food quality and taste are top notch, I definitely enjoyed my Indonesian cuisine experience in John Bamboo. All you people, try their dishes you’ll enjoy yourselves, not only because they are tasty and good, but because they are affordable.

Satisfied customers here:)
