RamadaManilaCentral

Everybody wants to go to the beach and get those sun-kissed complexion that everyone seems to be rockin’ right now during summer. But for some people, just like me, who possesses that complexion for a long time, would prefer to go somewhere cold and relaxing. Recent news have just reported highest temperature in Metro Manila, so better get your sun protection. I highly suggest you to just book a hotel where you can unwind, like what I did in Ramada Manila Central several days ago. Read my story below.

Ramada Manila Central

Ramada Manila Central is a distinctive hotel in Binondo, for it is rated a 4-star hotel. It is located at the most strategic place in Binondo, just along the famous street of Ongpin. Right across the street, is the well-known historical site of Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz which happens to be the first saint of the Philippines. Another thing that made the hotel really stood out is because it is just in the heart of the oldest Chinatown in the world and surrounded by many famous Chinese food haven in the Philippines.

Hotel

Ramada Manila Central offers genuine Filipino hospitality. It is part of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts Worldwide which is known in ensuring their guests to provide international standard of high quality service and broad range of facilities. I really enjoyed the hotel’s contemporary Asian-inspired deco and furniture – a good way to impress the guest even you’re waiting for your room in the lobby. You can tell that the hotel is really fancy through their lobby area and lounge. Shades of red and gold is all over the place, keeping their ambiance really sophisticated but still homey.

The hotel offers vast array of services to ensure their guest their comfortable stay at their hotel. They offer airport transfer, facilities for disabled guest and free shuttle service. They have world class function rooms that caters corporate and social events which is the Premier lounge. They also have spa and fitness center for their guests’ health and leisure.

The hotel’s prime target guests are Chinese businessmen but they also accommodate for domestic guests and they also consider the value for every guests. According to Ms. Barby Ann Calma, Marketing Officer of Ramada Manila Central, they also welcome corporate and government guests because their facilities passed their standards. They are offering banquets events place which is in Plaza Dela Barca, located at the third floor of the hotel. It can hold 500 person on cocktail style. For small event, the Plaza Dela Barca can be divided into three venues; Calle Sacristia, CalleAnalogue and Calle Rosario, the old names of Ongpin, San Juan and Quintin Paredes street. They also have Luna place for events which has a good view of Binondo.

Rooms

Ramada Manila Central offers fancy but affordable 114 rooms which has this Asian-inspired deco in all their rooms. From the fifth to fifteenth floor, the rooms are well appointed and maintained to give the goal of comfortability of their guests. The rooms are categorized by the different features of the room there are Ramada Suite, Executive Room, Deluxe Room and Standard Room. All rooms are well equipped with amenities like flat-screen TV with cable channels, complimentary wireless internet access, private bathroom and minibar.

For my first night, I got a chance to stay at their Ramada Suite, really fancy! The room is really big. Ideal for family staycation. What I really love about this room is that half of the wall perimeter is overlooking the streets of Ongpin and Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz as the background. Ramada Manila Central knows how to use their location for their room, using the famous street to incorporate in their room. Ramada Suite is a 48 square meter bedroom, just like what I said it’s really spacious! They have a living room, king-sized bed and an office/study area. Ramada Suite and Executive Room are the only room with bath tub, so before having my dinner I hop in the bath tub and took a nap. These are the list of room amenities in Ramada Suite:

  • Modern Asian-inspired interiors, playing with earth hues touched with red
  • Electronic safe that can accommodate a standard sized laptop
  • Complimentary coffee, tea and two bottles of water replenished daily
  • 42″ cabled LCD television featuring eleven Chinese channels in room
  • Living with television and separate writing desk
  • Hotel compendium complete with hotel information plus safety and security measures
  • Writing desk
  • Clock and Bible
  • Hairdryer

  • Bed runner hand painted by local artists from Art of Gold
  • Complimentary fast WIFI internet connection
  • Direct Dial telephone
  • Centralized air-conditioning
  • En suite bath with rain and handheld shower, tub plus telephone unit

For my second night, I tried their 27 square meter deluxe room. The room is available in either king-sized bed or twin-bed set up, but I opted to go for King-sized because that’s how I roll. They also have an office area in the deluxe room and a big window overlooking the Minor Basilica of San Lorenzo Ruiz. Here are the room amenities of the deluxe room:

  • Modern Asian-inspired interiors, playing with earth hues touched with red
  • Electronic safe that can accommodate a standard sized laptop
  • Complimentary coffee, tea and two bottles of water replenished daily
  • 32″ cabled LCD television featuring eleven Chinese channels
  • Hotel compendium complete with hotel information plus safety and security measures
  • Writing desk

My overall Ramada Manila Central experience was so satisfying and relaxing. They truly live up to their tagline “leave the rest to us”, everything I asked of them were just a call away. The hotel staff were very courteous and welcoming plus they are all smiling. The rooms are just heaven; all rooms are spacious, tidy and worth your money. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to explore Manila’s history, culture and food.
